A better U.S.

Dear Editor,

Give us a candidate:

¯ That knows what governing means, and age is not an impairment.

¯ That will campaign vigorously and defend the views through honest debates.

¯ Understanding what the job entails without staff to offer explanations.

¯ That will tell the truth and actually accept responsibility by letting the “buck stop here” when it is warranted.

¯ Who will make certain the media and government agencies are truthful with the people who depend on them.

¯ Who will not allow “wokeness” to engulf the population with its ideologies.

¯ Who will care for the most vulnerable–unborn children.

¯ That will take us back to energy independence.

¯ That will honor our laws … not allow an open border to continue endangering our citizens with drugs and corrupting our economy with migrants overrunning the country.

¯ Who will care about the military and make sure to listen to members who know best.

¯ How to exit a country without creating chaos.

¯ Who will not invoke divisive racism at every turn.

¯ That cares more about the country than listening to the party elitists or donors that dictate their whims and expect them to be followed.

¯ That doesn’t have a family with a “shady” background.

¯ That can answer questions without hiding in a basement.

¯ That will care about the future of our citizens, especially our children–by not creating overwhelming spending to suffocate them with debt throughout their lives.

¯ Who will fund the police and take care of victims over the perpetrator.

¯ Who will push for solid academics, so our children have a chance in a competitive world.

¯ Who is not Joe Biden or anyone resembling him in thoughts or actions.

¯ Who will give America a chance!

‘Delightful’ exhibit

Dear Editor,

What a delightful day at the Crary Art Gallery last week, which included Indonesian batik wall hangings and Indonesian music on Indonesian instruments.

What a wonderful combination of their arts. Phrases accompanying the batik wall hangings were thought-filled: “Time will follow your dreams; Humble; Sharing, caring, believing; The secret keeper; Family matters; Dreamer; Strong memory; The world needs you; Stay in love.”

Thanks to the organizers for this rich experience.

Poor plans, PennDOT

Dear Editor,

An open letter to PennDOT — Let’s lay down loose gravel in random places right before a major Memorial Day weekend when there’ll be a ton of motorcyclists out.

Even worse — let’s not put out any signage warning them either.

Michael Geer,

Warren
