Council establishes no-parking zone on Glenwood Street

The Warren City Council has created a new no-parking zone on Glenwood Street. The council unanimously approved an ordinance establishing a no-parking zone along a portion of Glenwood Street following a recent street reconstruction project funded through the Community Development Block Grant program. Police Chief Joseph Sproveri explained that new curbing narrowed the roadway, making it difficult for garbage trucks and other large vehicles to navigate the sharp 90-degree turn when vehicles are parked nearby. Warren man sentenced to jail time after police chase

A Warren man has been sentenced to between 98 days and 13 months of confinement after leading police on a chase through Youngsville earlier this year. Dillon T. Gray, 34, of Warren was charged in April by Youngsville police officers with misdemeanor fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, misdemeanor illegally operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device and five traffic citations. The Zonta Club of Warren recently presented three $1,500 scholarships. Erin Wallace, chair of the scholarship committee presented the checks. Recipient Alexis Stec will attend Bloomsburg University with the goal of becoming a successful athletic trainer. Specifically, Stec plans to help injured young women playing softball. As the 2025 Warren County Fair Queen, Stec said she believes in the importance and impact that supporting local young women has and plans to continue to support local young women through the Warren County Fair Queen program as a local volunteer.
