Dasai K. Bradberry, 24, of Jamestown, was charged Thursday with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and tampering with physical evidence.

The incident began when narcotics detectives from the Jamestown Police Department and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 63 W. 14th St., Jamestown. Before officers executed the search warrant Bradberry allegedly left the residence in a vehicle. A Jamestown Police Department road patrol pulled the vehicle over on North Main Street near West Oak Hill Road, where Bradberry allegedly ran away, jumped the fence of Lakeview Cemetery and discarded methamphetamine and fentanyl. Bradberry was then caught a short distance away by patrol officers.

Officers reportedly found two 9 mm “ghost guns” inside the West 14th Street home as well as digital scales, packaging materials, cutting agents and U.S. currency while officers also recovered 104.6 grams of methamphetamine and 10.9 grams of fentanyl that Bradberry allegedly tried to destroy in the cemetery.

Bradberry had also been wanted on a federal warrant for weapons and narcotics trafficking, according to a police report. Bradberry was taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail.

In 2025, Bradberry was charged in U.S. District Court with one count of possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute and possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes. An affidavit filed in federal court by a Jamestown police officer states a search warrant was executed at 114 Bush St., lower apartment, on Aug. 4, 2025. Jamestown Metro and Southern Tier regional drug task force members watching the house reportedly saw Bradberry leave the apartment before detaining Bradberry when he was a block away from returning to the apartment. When officers executed the search warrant, the affidavit states they found a Griffin Armament Model MK1 .223 caliber semi-automatic rifle, a gray bag with .223 caliber ammunition, 22.3 grams of fentanyl, packaging materials, Bradberry’s NewYork driver’s license, oxycodone pills, a .223 caliber round, two digital scales, numerous plastic bag corners with residue, a brick press, more than $1,200. The affidavit states that in a post-arrest, post-Miranda warning, recorded interview, Bradberry allegedly admitted to ownership and possession of the evidence inside the Bush Street apartment and was charged. On Aug. 13, 2025, the DEA received custody of the drug evidence, with laboratory testing in September showing a plastic bag that contained 20.5 grams of fentanyl.

“Based on my training and experience, and information learned during the investigation, I believe that the recovered firearm in Dasai K. Bradberry’s residence was used to protect and secure the narcotic traffickers’ property and is connected to the drug trafficking activities of Dasai K. Bradberry,” the officer said in the affidavit.

In 2019, Bradberry was charged with burglary, 32 counts each of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm by a minor, conspiracy (burglary), conspiracy (theft by unlawful taking) and criminal mischief after allegedly entering a Corry business and stealing 32 handguns. The search for the pistols began after officers responded Sept. 18 to reports of shots being fired inside a Bowen Street home in Jamestown.
