The Zonta Club of Warren recently presented three $1,500 scholarships.

Recipient Alexis Stec will attend Bloomsburg University with the goal of becoming a successful athletic trainer. Specifically, Stec plans to help injured young women playing softball. As the 2025 Warren County Fair Queen, Stec said she believes in the importance and impact that supporting local young women has and plans to continue to support local young women through the Warren County Fair Queen program as a local volunteer.

Kylie Jurkowski will attend college to major in elementary education. Jurkowski said Zonta, which means honesty and trustworthy, aligns with her morals. Her plans following college graduation include marriage and raising a family alongside teaching.

Clara Steinberg will attend Penn West California for exercise science/physical therapy. Specializing in women’s sports, she wishes to advocate for female athletes to get the same recognition as men. As women’s sports continue to grow, she would like to be a part of it by organizing training, recovery, and fitness plans to help women feel and perform to their best abilities. Her dream is to become a women’s basketball coach.
