Civil Air Patrol to host boot drive, hot dog sale

The Warren County Composite Squadron 505 of the Civil Air Patrol U.S. Air Force Auxiliary will hold a boot drive and hot dog sale on Sunday, July 26, at Tractor Supply, 4210 Market St., Warren. Fresh hot dogs, cold drinks, chips and snacks will be available and boot drive donations accepted. Every purchase and donation helps support cadet leadership training, emergency services training, aerospace education, community service projects and search and rescue readiness. Support local civil air patrol cadets and seniors members.

Allegheny Outdoor Club To Ride, Hike Route 66 Trail

Members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride or hike on Sunday, July 26, on the Route 66 bike trail, part of the Kane Knox Rail trail. Meet at the Leeper Trailhead off Route 66 west of Route 36 at 2 p.m. The trail is 12 miles in length. Those participating can ride bikes or hike as far as they want. Jim and Kim Berkey are in charge of the activity.

Hospice receives June contributions

Donations can be sent to Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Ave., Warren, PA 16365 or online at www.hospiceofwarrencounty.org/donations. Donations support the comprehensive Hospice Program, including the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Residence, and The Schorman Center– A Place for Healing Grief and Loss.
