The Warren-Forest County Equal Opportunities Council is hosting a community day event on Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at General Joseph Warren Park.

The organization asks attendees to donate personal hygiene products or nonperishable food items. Hot dogs, chips, and water will be provided.

There will be games for kids and an opportunity to learn more about the EOC and what it offers to the community.

The EOC has many programs, including Head Start, Faith Inn shelter, weatherization, and utility assistance.

The non-profit community action agency utilizes available funds and donations to provide programs and services to reduce the number of individuals and families living in poverty within our community.
