JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A few local Soap Box Derby drivers have new plans later this summer.
Parker Ristau, Adriana Hasson and Skylar Waid won their respective divisions at the 41st annual Jamestown Area Soap Box Derby, which was held Saturday at the John S. Sinatra Memorial Track.
Ristau, with his cart sponsored by Certified Auto Repair, won the Stock Division. Warren Hometown Markets’ Austin Kelwaski was second, followed by Vincent Racing’s Raegan Sweatman, Warren Hometown Markets’ Gwendolyn McQuiggan, Honest John’s Michael Chamberlin and Dream It. Do It. WNY of Portville’s Getty Krakat.
Hasson, in a cart sponsored by Wayfinder Moving Services, won the Super Stock Division over second-place Shayne Caldwell, driving for McClaran Racing. Wayfinder Moving Services’ Liam Hasson was third, followed by Warren Hometown Markets’ Bridget McQuiggan, Roller Racing’s Brantley Steinbar and Dream It. Do It. WNY of Oswayo Valley’s Brynley Walker.
Waid, driving in a cart sponsored by WNY Transportation Solutions, won the Masters Division over second-place Vinny DeLaCroix, driving for DeLaCroix Racing. Skylar Sweatman of Vincent Racing was third, followed by Lokesh Anumalesetty and Sadie Usatch, both of Dream It. Do It. WNY of Olean.

The All-American Soap Box Derby will be held next month in Akron, Ohio.
Ethan Gibson, in a Frewsburg cart, won the Stock STEM Division over Olean’s Louey Wind and Portville’s Krakat.
Garry Studley, racing for Portville, won the Super Stock STEM Division over Olean’s Henry Wind and Portville’s Ella Moses.
Anumalesetty, driving for Olean, won the Masters STEM Division over Olean’s Usatch and Frewsburg’s Waid.
Anthony Nichols won the Doug Hert Memorial Sportsmanship Award.
