The first graduating class following the Warren County School District’s reconfiguration celebrated commencement Friday evening at War Memorial Field, marking a historic milestone for students from across the county’s former high schools.

Graduates from Warren Area High School and Eisenhower Middle-High School wore gray gowns accented with stoles representing their original schools. The stoles featured the colors of the district’s former high schools: red and white for Youngsville High School, orange and black for Sheffield Area High School, and blue and white for Warren Area High School.

Senior Class Co-President Victoria Solberg opened the ceremony by reflecting on the transition that brought students from multiple schools together into one graduating class.

Solberg described the consolidation as an opportunity to meet new friends, classmates and teammates, while acknowledging that adapting to change was not always easy.

In a departure from previous years, students auditioned for the opportunity to speak during commencement. Three seniors were selected to deliver addresses to their classmates.

Aydin Anthony presented a speech titled “Building the Steps of Tomorrow,” telling graduates that while the past four years had not been perfect, they had been real and authentic experiences. Anthony encouraged classmates to prioritize compassion, saying that becoming a compassionate person is among life’s most important achievements.

Andrew Haight delivered “Looking Past Hardships,” focusing on the challenges students have faced and overcome throughout their educational journeys.

Isaac Hammerbeck’s speech, “To Achieve: To Connect,” emphasized the value of relationships and community. Hammerbeck said making meaningful connections can be more important than striving to be the best and noted that the people around us help shape who we become.

Senior Class Co-President Elissa Errett closed the ceremony by highlighting the accomplishments of the Class of 2026. Errett recognized achievements across numerous sports, clubs and extracurricular activities, including volleyball, football, robotics club and Key Club.

The ceremony celebrated not only the graduates’ academic achievements but also the beginning of a new chapter for a unified Warren Area High School community.
