It’s time for spring cleaning.
The City of Warren’s Spring Clean-up started Monday at the city’s east end and crews are moving quickly. Clean-up is for brush and branches and yard waste — grass clippings, pulled weeds, and leaves.
“Keep your brush separate from your yard waste,” Public Works Superintendent Joe Reinke said. “It helps if you keep your brush facing in the same direction.”
The crews have a chipper and a front-end loader at their disposal.
City officials ask that clean-up materials be kept out of the street.

There is no work set for Good Friday and pick-up will resume on Monday.
The schedule can be found at www.cityofwarrenpa.gov.
“If you miss your day, you can take it to the sewer treatment plant on Harmar Street,” Reinke said.
“Brush goes in the brush pile,” Reinke said. “Grass, weeds, dirt, mulch, go into the dumpster.”
“Please don’t put brush in the dumpster,” he said. And “absolutely no garbage.”
If appropriate materials are bagged, Reinke asks that the contents be dumped, and the bags be kept out of the dumpster.
