The Warren County Historical Society is pleased to announce this year’s Warren County History Award recipients. Each student is selected for their achievement as an outstanding student of history and receives a one-year membership to the historical society along with a monetary scholarship.

The 2026 Warren County History Award recipients are Gus Heenan of Tidioute Community Charter School; Bowen Lindell of Eisenhower Middle High School; and Ethan Hamilton of Warren Area High School.

The recipients were greeted by Warren County Historical Society Education Committee co-chair and Treasurer, Robert P. Carlson, who shared that, “It’s nice to be able to support the recipients’ future with the monetary scholarship.”

Gus Heenen plans on working for his father at Heenan Excavating and Trucking in Tidioute and, later on, he hopes to take over the family business. Bowen Lindell is attending Penn State University, and will be majoring in Aerospace engineering. After college, he hopes to work for NASA.
