Christmas parade lineup announced
There are some heavy hitters in the lineup for the annual Downtown Warren Christmas Parade.
The parade kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 and will follow the usual route – Pennsylvania Avenue from Market Street to Hickory Street.
The parade lineup includes:
¯ Chief Cornplanter Council BSA;
¯ Girl Scouts;
¯ Warren County Christian School;
¯ Young Democrats of Warren;
¯ Jefferson DeFrees Center – Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library float;
¯ Warren County Fair Queens;
¯ Faded Floral;
¯ Extreme Athletix;
¯ Lilly Broadcasting;
¯ Warren Area Cacophonic Kazoo Organization (WACKO);
¯ Dragon Cheerleaders;
¯ Casella Waste;
¯ Warren Area High School band;
¯ Jeep Wranglers of Warren;
¯ Glade Volunteer Fire Department;
¯ Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry; and
¯ Santa Claus (Allegheny Memorials and Young’s Countryside Structure).
¯ Vendors who will have spaces on Liberty Street include:
¯ Your Daily Local;
¯ Warren County SADD;
¯ White Cane Coffee;
¯ McKissock Learning — Colibri Group’s Who-Ville;
¯ Free Books for Kids Town;
¯ Cultured Travel;
¯ Ceriola’s Donuts;
¯ Roasted Chestnuts by the Chief Cornplanter Council; and
¯ Santa Claus — who will set up shortly after the parade.
Marty Loomis’ Bubblegum Machine will be at Jefferson DeFrees Family Center starting at 7 p.m.
At the PNC Bank Building, there will be an open house of Innovault starting at 4 p.m.; letters to Santa – with paper, pens, and envelopes, provided by Northern Pennsylvania Regional College, and the Letters to Santa Mailbox; and Toys for Tots basket raffle – winners do not need to be present.
The Kokomo Time Band will perform from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bent Run Brewing sponsored by the Housing Authority of Warren County. Proceeds from Donuts To Go will benefit Toys for Tots of Warren.
There will be a living window display of Bears Climbing on a Tree at Virg-Ann Flower and Gift Shop.
