Sheffield Area Junior Senior High School 7th & 8th grade volleyball recently finished up its season. The 8th grade only lost one match all season. Sheffield/Barnes Larger Parish Open Doors Dinner

Monday, March 27th the folks from Barnes and Sheffield United Methodist Churches will be serving up spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, salad and sherbert for dessert. Come out for awesome fellowship from 4:30-6:30PM at the Sheffield United Methodist Church at 11 West Main Street for a free meal. Takes are available.

The date of this sale will be coming…but for now please feel free to drop off your unwanted items for the Sheffield United Methodist Church to sell at their trash and treasurer sale to raise money for new hall floor covering in the church. The date and details will be coming next week.

Roadcrew and Seasonal Position in Sheffield Township

Sheffield Township Supervisors are seeking applicants for two positions, a roadcrew position and a seasonal position. Both persons will work with the roadmaster and share responsibility for maintenance of township roads, equipment, buildings and grounds. Applicants should possess the ability to operate heavy equipment, operate a manual transmission vehicle, advance level mechanical skills and basic electrical, plumbing and welding skills. Must be flexible, dependable and physically capable of doing manual labor. Must be a permanent Sheffield Township Resident or willing to relocate to Sheffield Township within 6 months. Must have a valid PA driver’s license. Applications are available at the Township Office at 20 Leather Street from 8:30-4:30 Monday through Friday or at the Sheffield Township Library during normal library hours; Monday 6-8PM, Tuesday 10:30 – 5:00PM, Wednesday 2-8PM, Thursday 1-5PM, Fridays 1-5PM and Saturdays 9-3PM. Employment contingent on passing a drug test. Sheffield Township is an equal opportunity employer. Applications must be received by March 31st at 3pm in the township office.

We are filling our Easter Basket for our raffle, all donations are due March 15 as we will be selling Raffle tickets 3/$1 here at the center as well as at the Sheffield Craft & Bake sale at the Firehall April 8, look for us & the $50 bill in the basket!

A reminder we will be catering in lunches on Mondays only, from Kondak’s out of Clarendon, you MUST sign up one week in advance as well as all meals that will be called in on MONDAYS.
