Pomona Grange meets The Warren-Forest Pomona Grange met recently in the Pomona building on the Warren Co. Fairgrounds with Kelly Van Ord presiding. Van Ord served as Pomona delegate to Pa. State Grange in Oct. highlighting some of the resolutions and action taken by delegates. She also stated her cake donuts placed third. Matt Irons, Youth Chairman and also a member of the Pa. Christian Women meet The Nov. 9 meeting was held at Calvary Chapel in Russell. The spiritual speaker was Mardi Backstrom, Russell. She gave her testimony of her tumultuous childhood and early adult years that brought challenges and hardships that resulted in loss of hope. She explained how poor decisions are made from fear and desperation. She attended a retreat that led her back to God, and with His help she healed. Thanksgiving meal Hessel Valley Lutheran Church will be accepting reservations for its annual Thanksgiving meal. All meals will be available for drive-through pickup only on Nov. 25 from noon-10 p.m. Reservations must be placed by Nov. 17 by calling Cheryl Reagle at (814) 757-8861. The menu is turkey, homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, cranberry sauce, rolls and pumpkin pie. Free turkey dinner There will be a free drive-through turkey dinner at Hessel Valley Lutheran Church on Thursday, Nov. 25. Hill & Dale club meeting The Hill & Dale Garden Club meeting held its October 27th meeting at the Wiltsie Community Church. Fall floral kits were delivered to patients at the Rouse.
