Outdoor Club to hike The Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike on the West Overland Trail on Sunday, April 14. The group is asked to meet at the Panama, NY diner at 2 p.m. Mom Prom Caring for Life is holding its 11th Mom Prom on May 10 starting at 7 p.m. at the Conewango Club. Garlic mustard pull is April 25 The Forest Service is hosting a garlic mustard pull on Thursday, April 25 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Buckaloons. This event is open to the public to join forest staff in removing garlic mustard, an invasive plant, from the Buckaloons Recreation Area. Following the event will be a potluck-style lunch. Grant awarded The Boy Scouts of America, Chief Cornplanter Council recently received a grant from the Community Foundation of Warren County for their aquatics program held each summer at Camp Olmsted. The grant will provide basic water safety equipment for the camp such as life jackets and rescue equipment for lifeguards to make for safer water recreation and swimming. Each year the Aquatics program provides basic water safety and swimming skills to hundreds of Warren County youth equipping them to be safe on and in the water year around.
