Retirees to meet

The Osram Sylvania lady retirees will meet at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 3, at the Dinner Bell Restaurant in Frewsburg, NY.

Outdoor club to hike

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike on the North Country Trail on Sunday. The four-mile hike will start at the trailhead off Mayburg Road. Those attending are asked to meet at Hearts Content at 1:30 p.m.

EMS camp registration open

EmergyCare’s Camp EMS is a week-long experience held at Allegheny College in Meadville that allows campers to interact with some of the region’s top EMS and healthcare experts.

Campers participate in various dynamic and interactive sessions and learning opportunities, including patient assessments, rescue techniques and treatment of real-life medical traumas using a patient simulator. In addition to providing a first-hand look into pre-hospital medicine, campers who complete and graduate from EmergyCare’s Camp EMS also earn their American Heart Association CPR certification, valid for two years. This certification is often one of the first steps needed to enter the pre-hospital profession. Registration for EmergyCare’s Camp EMS is currently open.

The camp will be from Sunday, June 16, to Friday, June 21. Students between the ages of 14 and 17 are eligible to apply. The registration deadline is Friday, May 10 at noon, and the camp is limited to the first 50 applicants. Information on how to register is available at emergycare.org.
