A search that includes multiple agencies has been ongoing since this morning for a 2 year old female child believed to have fallen into the Allegheny River near Tidioute.

Pennsylvania State Police based in Warren received a report at about 11 a.m. of a missing child from the area of Valley View Lane in Limestone Township.

“Upon arrival, it was determined the child left her residence and walked to an area close to the Allegheny River. … It is suspected the child fell into the river. A tracking canine was utilized to follow the child’s scent from her bedroom to an area on the river where it is highly suspected she fell into the high-moving water.”

A search remains ongoing, the state police said around 5 p.m. in a news release.
