Man pleads in crash that struck Amish buggy

By JOSH COTTON jcotton@timesobserver.com A Sugar Grove man has pleaded guilty to his role in a traffic crash where his vehicle demolished a buggy, seriously injured the driver and killed the horse. Gary L. O’Donnell, 69, pleaded Thursday before President Judge Maureen Skerda. The plea was to charges including DUI, accident involving death or personal injury, which both carry 90-day mandatory minimum sentences, and three summary offenses. Carroll, 44, Warren, was charged by Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police on July 5 with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment from an incident that occurred on May 21 in Conewango Twp. Warren County Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies with the assistance of the Kane Borough police arrested Robert Sanders, 39, Kane, at 7:30 a.m. on July 6 on an arrest warrant for failure to appear for court. Sanders was placed in the county jail pending further court action.
