Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a theft that occurred at 1819 Irvine Run Rd. that occurred between Nov. 30 and Dec. 5. Troopers say that approximately 1,500 pounds of wood heating pellets, a red Craftsman tool chest and 18′ aluminum extension ladder were stolen from a wooden shed. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
Deerfield Twp.
Crash. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police report that a one-vehicle crash occurred on Dec. 5 at 1 a.m. on Tidioute Creek Rd. south of Brookside Ln. A 2011 Ford Expedition, driven by Matthew E. Lintala, 29, East Lake, Oh., was traveling south when the driver fell asleep. The vehicle then sheared off a utility pole and struck a tree. Troopers say Lintala fled the scene but was later located. He was cited for immediate notice of accident to police department.
Farmington Twp.
Crash. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police responded to a hit-and-run crash on Dec. 7 at 5:45 p.m. on Jackson Run Rd. A 2018 Nissan Sentra was traveling north when a vehicle proceeded through an intersection without stopping, struck the Nissan causing disabling damage and then fled the scene. Troopers say that debris on scene indicates the vehicle was an early-2010s dark blue Chevrolet Impala that would now have front end damage. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
Warren County
Checkpoint. Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police report conducting a DUI checkpoint between 10 p.m. on Dec. 17 and 3 a.m. on Dec 18. Due to inclement weather, the checkpoint was changed to a roving DUI patrol. Troopers say three DUI arrests were made in addition to nine summary violations issued as well as 19 warnings.
