Civil Air patrol holds training weekend

Last month, cadets from the Warren Composite Squadron NER-PA-505 put their emergency service skills to work during an intensive training exercise focusing on Ground Search and Rescue Operations. Throughout that weekend, cadets participated in hands-on training designed to build and demonstrate mastery of Specialty Qualification Training Record skills during simulated mission scenarios. Overdose Prevention Program is expanding in rural counties

Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) Secretary Dr. Latika Davis-Jones highlighted Tuesday how DDAP’s Overdose Prevention Program has saved thousands of lives since Gov. Josh Shapiro took office through expanded access to the lifesaving overdose reversal medication naloxone, particularly in rural counties. Kane’s Art in the Wilds returns June 27-28

KANE - Art in the Wilds returns to Kane’s Evergreen Park for its 20th year on June 27 and 28. “For twenty years, Art in the Wilds has brought to Kane some of the best artists and artisans from a wide swath of Pennsylvania and beyond,” said Julie Cleland, Art in the Wilds president. “This year will be even better.” Participation in the show is limited to only forty artists.
