The IRS File Your Taxes For Free is open for the season. It can be found at IRS.gov/freefile. The IRS has partnered with eight tax software companies, some of which allow individual taxpayers with adjusted gross income up to $84,000 to electronically file their 2024 taxes for free and get refunds back fast. Some also include the PA return also. Any taxpayer no matter how high their AGI is can use fillable forms and file their taxes for free.

If local taxpayers have questions about this program they may attend a public meeting at the Warren Public Library at 6 p.m. today in the Slater Room. Greg Burkett with the Volunteer Income Assistance Program will be there to give the presentation and answer questions. If participants don’t know what their Adjusted gross Income AGI is they should bring last year’s tax return.
