Spaghetti dinner planned

Irvine Presbyterian Church, 885 National Forge Road, will hold a take-out-only spaghetti dinner from noon to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, to benefit two local families.

Thompson tests positive for COVID

Congressman Glenn GT Thompson has tested positive for COVID-19. The Congressman, who was in Warren for a listening tour stop on Friday, Oct. 15, is vaccinated against the virus, according to a Friday release.

“Congressman Thompson on Friday afternoon began experiencing cold-like symptoms and was promptly tested for COVID-19,” according to the release. “While he is vaccinated, the test came back positive.”

“Out of an abundance of caution, he is being treated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center,” the release said. “He is in good spirits and further updates will be made available in the coming days.”
