Warren, Youngsville compete at Oil City Invitational

OIL CITY, Pa. – Naomi Swartzbaugh and Jake Hogg led the Youngsville Eagles at the Oil Country Invitational on Saturday. Warren competed as well, with some of their top athletes in action at the Altoona Invitational. Swartzbaugh won the 300 hurdles with a blistering time of 47.68 and she finished third in the 100 hurdles in 16.41. Her teammate, Jocelyn Taydus, was fifth in both races at 17.04 and 51.26 respectively. Overnight and morning rains postponed a pair of Warren Area High School sporting events Thursday. Both the baseball and softball teams were scheduled to hit the road for region games and both contests have been rescheduled for next week. The baseball team’s Region 7 matchup at Fort LeBoeuf was originally scheduled for Wednesday.
