Warren, Youngsville compete at Oil City Invitational

OIL CITY, Pa. – Naomi Swartzbaugh and Jake Hogg led the Youngsville Eagles at the Oil Country Invitational on Saturday.

Warren competed as well, with some of their top athletes in action at the Altoona Invitational.

Swartzbaugh won the 300 hurdles with a blistering time of 47.68 and she finished third in the 100 hurdles in 16.41. Her teammate, Jocelyn Taydus, was fifth in both races at 17.04 and 51.26 respectively.

Hogg, meanwhile, once again dominated in the field, taking first in the high jump (6-1), fifth in the javelin (120-9) and eighth in the long jump (18-10 1/4). Also for the boys, Mik Fehlman was ninth in the 1600 (5:01.40).

Also for the girls, Amber Evans was eighth in the triple jump (29-6) and Julia Bojaczko was 3200 (13:46.17) and 13th in 1600 (6:12.07).

For Warren, Paige Johnson was sixth in the 1600 (5:55.81), while Trinity Wennberg was sixth in the 100 hurdles (17.5) and seventh in the javelin (88-11) and Trenten Dippold fifth in the 3200 (10:41.99).
