The Warren girls and boys track and field teams enjoyed their home confines of War Memorial Field on Tuesday, with the girls beating Erie High 100-40 and the boys earning a hard-fought 77-64 win.
Kyleigh Wilson (100, 200), Lydia Latimer (high jump, 400), Naomi Hahn (800, 1600) and Myah Madril (javelin, triple jump) were all multiple individual event winners for the Lady Dragons.
Wilson, a sophomore, ran a blistering time in the 100 of 12.82, while also edging her teammate Latimer in the 200. She added a second in the long jump and third in the triple jump.
Latimer and Hahn once again dominated their best events, while Madril continued to show off her tremendous versatility, qualifying for districts in the triple jump and adding a second in the 300 hurdles.
Bri Ristau, Kayla Giambrone and Katie Beyer were both on the winning 1600 and 3200 relay teams, joined on the 1600 by Paige Johnson and Hahn in the 3200. Johnson also won the 3200.
For the boys, Kyle Adams (100, 200), Nate Eadie (800, 1600) and Alex Ziegler (shot put, javelin) all won multiple events.
Adams dusted the competition in the 200 with a time of 23.08, qualified for districts in the 100 and also added a second in the triple jump (going over 40 feet) and a third in the long jump.
Eadie qualified for districts with his win the 800, while Zach Zinger also qualified in the discus, winning that event.
Devon Navaroli also rolled to victory in the 3200. He was also on both the winning 1600 (Brett Sowa, Eadie, Graham Carr) and 3200 (Carr, Trenten Dippold, Eadie) relay teams.
"We were pleased to come away with two good wins," said Warren coach Kevin Dustin. "We qualified some more kids for different events today, which is always a good sign right now. Zach Zinger (discus), Nate Eadie (800m), Devon Navaroli (3200m), Kyle Adams (100m), Kyleigh Wilson (triple jump), Myah Madril (javelin), and Kayla Giambrone (800m). We have a couple of big races coming up to start preparing us for the district meet."
