Dear Editor, Recently I read about this athlete “Hannah” Mouncey who now competes with women in Australian rules football. When we guys wrestled on the playground at recess time at the Starbrick school we had a name for those who could not cut it with the guys and went to play with the girls. It starts with the letter “s” and ends in “y” and it was not all that complimentary. What is happening in women’s sports today: bicycling (Rachel McKinnon) , track (Cece Telfer), etc. would be hilarious if it were not so unfair to the women who compete fairly. What is the ...

Dear Editor, Recently, while President Joe Biden was exposing his executive orders on gun control, two mass shootings were underway in Texas and South Carolina. Nothing Biden was doing would slow the epidemic. Starting in the ’70s the conditioning of youth to use guns in movies, TV and games was established. The one thing I learned in psychology class was conditioning. Without careful guidance, exposure to entertainment with shooting is conditioning. Dangerous path

Dear Editor, As we watch this debacle on the border and the other blunders in Washington less than 100 days into the administration, I wonder how many President Joe Biden voters have changed their minds about “Mr. Nice Guy?” He changed the immigration laws, not because of their ineffectiveness, but because the laws had the Trump stamp on them. He didn’t think of the repercussions, and with nothing to replace them, we now have total chaos. He won’t accept responsibility for this fiasco and own up to the fact that what he did was wrong.
