‘Selfish’ decisions

Dear Editor, I am not resistant to change at all. I am, however, resistant to people who represent me that do things I do not wish to have done This roundabout is ridiculous. Yes, we have had the chance to drive around one or two. What does Warren need one for? That intersection allows people to cross it and appears to do what is needed. Dear Editor, With Vladimir Putin’s horrifying invasion of Ukraine, various conspiracy theories serving to justify these unforgivable acts and to undermine the efforts of America and its NATO allies to support Ukraine and its people are now being pushed by certain media outlets and personalities. Thinking outside circle

Dear Editor, Why are we so resistant to change? And why does it often feel like that resistance is merely to be contrary? I have driven roundabouts, rotariesm traffic circles since learning to drive, especially in New England. They keep traffic moving and eliminate the frustration of sitting and waiting for the light to change, especially when the traffic is light. There is a small learning curve, but these newer circles are well marked and if you miss your exit, you just go around again. Case for Critical Race Theory

Dear Editor, Critical Race Theory is in the news lately. Many people, mostly in the South, but all over the country, are opposed to teaching it in schools. Why? What is Critical Race Theory? It is the idea that our country, in the past, has mistreated certain minority races and it has had long term consequences on our country, Most obviously CRT relates to slavery, segregation, Ku Klux Klan, lynchings, discrimination, Jim Crow laws, and general racism. Dear Editor, President Joe Biden said he’d get the U.S. out of Afghanistan. He certainly did—the wrong way. We saw it and so did the world. Speculation! If Donald Trump were still president, would we see the movement into Ukraine? Somehow, I don’t think so.
