Pricey enemies Dear Editor, Kamala Harris claims that Joe Biden’s one term legacy is superior to that of most two-term presidents. She and running mate Tim Walz label Donald Trump an enemy of freedom. Really? Biden waged war on American energy independence. Two victims were the Keystone XL pipeline and ANWAR drilling leases. Such actions drove up the cost of fuel. It takes fuel to get goods to market so the cost of virtually everything increased. Farmers need to fuel their tractors, so food was doubly impacted. Biden raided the strategic petroleum reserves to lower prices for ...

Weak decision Dear Editor, What a disgrace that the Democratic hopeful couldn’t even attend Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to Congress. That fact is, it’s not the word “couldn’t,” it’s the word “wouldn’t.” It’s obvious she needs to appease the anti-Israel-America hate mongers. The strings of the new puppet are already being pulled. This country should be very concerned about the direction she will take the United States. The global condition calls for a strong leader. And it’s not her. We’ve seen nothing yet. The park’s playground equipment, ample parking, three large pavilions, green expanse along the Conewango Creek, plus pleasant temperature, made an ideal setting for the gathering. It was a fundraiser, meet the candidates, and rally the troops event. Democratic candidates spoke briefly, answered questions, and made themselves available for face to face discussions. Circulating among the ...

No learning curve Dear Editor, Due to some selfish people on our school board, our taxes will be increased again. This means we will go from eight tax increases in 15 years to nine in 16 years. These people do not care what is best for all: only what is best for them. Student enrollment dropped almost every year in the past 15 years. I am guessing student enrollment dropped by 800 students in those 15 years. Yet taxes continue to increase? Consolidation would save money. More courses could be offered leading to a better education for all students Look around our county. ...
