Tax credit helps children Dear Editor, New Census poverty data confirms it — we need to expand the Child Tax Credit. In 2023, the U.S. Census reported the child poverty rate increased last year by 1.3% to 13.7% overall. This translates to millions of children living in poverty. The data also shows that if the Child Tax Credit was not in place, 2.4 million more people (most of them kids) would have experienced living in poverty. Lack of bus caution Dear Editor, Can someone please explain to me exactly when a stop sign became a suggestion? I had the honor of hosting the event and addressing the citizens of Warren County. For those who were unable to attend, I want to share the key points from the opening ...

Thank you to all who attended, donated, and helped make ...

Shine won’t last Dear Editor, The Left, sorry, the Democratic National Convention, reminded me of a $29.95 Earl Scheib glitzy new paint job over an unpopular old used car (I refuse to insult Edsels by comparing them to this politician). With Hollywood, the entertainment industry, and most of the mainstream media on its side, the Democratic Party can really put on a show! So what, precisely, are Kamala Harris’s accomplishments to date? Go ahead, I’ll wait. What do we get with her as president? The New Kamala — a toothy grin spreading joy with pixie dust and unicorn ...
