Warren drops baseball opener at Meadville

MEADVILLE — The Warren baseball team started its 2026 campaign Monday when the Dragons traveled to Meadville to take on the Bulldogs. The Dragons came out swinging and were able to score first when Broc Bryan knocked in Duncan McGarry with an RBI single. The second and third innings were scoreless, but the fourth and fifth innings saw the Bulldogs bats come to life as they rattled off six runs off starting pitcher David Manning before he was relieved by junior Broc Bryan. RUSSELL — The Eisenhower Knights continue to look for their first win of the young season as they dropped a 12-0 decision to Titusville at Werner Park on Monday. After the Rockets jumped out to a 2-0 lead to start the game, it was their second at-bat that put Eisenhower behind 11-0. The visitors added their final run in the top of the fifth inning to make the final score 12-0. Morgan Zaffino and Alexis Stec each singled for the Knights. ERIE — The Warren girls softball team finally got its season underway as the Dragons were on the road Monday to take on the Erie High Royals. The Dragons played well for their first game but were defeated by a close 11-7 score. “As a whole we did some good things and bad things,” said head coach Samantha Mott.
