The season kicked off this Monday night at The Goat Fort. It was Bent Run vs. Allegheny Outfitters and Whirley vs. Kinzua Vet Clinic. Team Slick Text had a bye week.

The first match saw some high scores. Lily White from Bent Run and Nina Harrington from Allegheny Outfitters posted some big numbers, with a per-climb average of 436 and 400, respectively.

Bent Run’s Bella Smith and Haidyn Simpson climbed well, averaging (188) and (128) respectively, and helping to elevate their team to over 4,000 points. However, AO had 4 other climbers averaging over 200 points: Razzlin Pratz (273), Eloise Harrington (257), Elsie Woldt (252) and Olivia Bailey (229) putting Allegheny Outfitters on top 5,906 to 4,028.

The second match was equally exciting. Coleman Miller crushed the boulders and posted a 341 average. Teammates Marshall Harrington and Evan Wellner averaged 178 and 166 per climb, and Kinzua Vet Clinic was able to accumulate 3,813 points. Whirley did not have any climbers over a 300 point average, but teamwork is the key and with three climbers over a 200 average: Nina Woldt (289) Owen Ash (256) and Connor Ash (238) and another three over a 150 average: Owen Heath (197), Avery Woldt (166) and Finley LaVigne (154) they pulled out the win 4,494 to 3,813.
