Big 3rd inning lifts Seneca
RUSSELL — The Eisenhower Knights were blanked by Seneca 17-0 in Region 3 softball Monday at Werner Park.
The Bobcats got on the board early when Haylee Farrell doubled to drive in a run for a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
The visitors did the most damage in the top of the third inning when they pushed 11 runs across the plate to take a 12-0 lead. Three-run home runs by Farrell and Sophia Primavere led Seneca.
Senior Samantha Childs took the loss for Eisenhower while Primavere held the Knights hitless over four innings to lead Seneca. Eisenhower was outhit 18-1 in the game.
The Knights are back in action today when they travel to Iroquois for a 4 p.m. game.
