RUSSELL — The Eisenhower Knights completed a Region 3 sweep of Titusville as they shot down the Rockets Monday night, defeating them 57-10.
Eisenhower raced out to a 13-4 first-quarter lead as the Rockets had a cold night shooting.
The Knights were led by Lainey Font, who was nearly perfect shooting. She finished with four 3-pointers, was 3 for 3 from the free-throw line and finished with 23 points to lead all scorers.
Eisenhower would have two more players in double figures on the night. Clara Steinberg finished with 14 points and Samantha Childs would chip in 12.
Titusville was plagued by cold shooting the entire game as Eisenhower held the Rockets to just two points in each quarter to finish the game.
Eisenhower evened its record at 10-10 on the season, an impressive feat as they start five sophomores in their lineup. The Knights finish up their season Thursday when they travel to Mercyhurst Prep.
They are hoping to get a call Sunday for an invitation into the District 10 playoffs.
