Warren’s boys soccer team won its third straight match — all in Region 4 — with its 5-1 win over Iroquois on Saturday at War Memorial Field.
Second-place Warren played the Braves to a 1-1 tie in the first half, trailing early before Finn Ordiway tied the match on his first of two goals.
“Credit to Iroquois; they came out fast and played a great game,” said Warren coach Steffen Blair. “I was happy with how our boys bounced back in the second half. We got a huge boost from our defense. Dakota (Sliter) and Casey (Rich) helped us a lot in possession, and Chase (Sitler) and Alex (Eaton) cleaned up a lot of our mistakes on the back end.
“Quinn (Norris) and Finn both had really strong performances,” he said. “They were really progressive and strong on the ball.”
Sitler finished with 21 steals and Warren’s quick transition from defense to offense led to second-half goals by Ordiway, Jack Chapman, Gavin Rex, and Trey Carrington. Norris and Rich had assists for Warren (9-4-1 overall and 9-2 in the region).

“We’ve been creating a lot of good chances over the last handful of games, and today we did well to take advantage of them,” said Blair.
Iroquois falls to 4-6-1 in Region 4.
Franklin, handing the Dragons both its region losses, leads the region at 10-1. Both teams are vying for District 10 2A playoff positioning.
