The Basketball League

LEBANON, Ind. — The Jamestown Jackals saw their record drop to 1-2 Saturday following a 107-102 loss to Lebanon in The Basketball League.

Leading the way for the Leprechauns (1-2) was Dionte Raines with 27 points, one of four players in double figures for the winners. The others were Dillion Ware with 15, Treshawn Gause with 14 and Alontay Gould with 11.

The Jackals were paced by Calvin Cheek with 21 points; Magnus Richards with 14 points and 12 rebounds; Brandon McGhee with 12 points; and D’Mauria Jones and Tafari Beckford with 11 apiece.

Jamestown will be back in action at 7 p.m. Friday when its entertains the Glass City Wranglers at the Physical Education Complex at Jamestown Community College. The Jackals will then host the Albany Patroons at 3 p.m. Sunday.

SUNDAY

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Jamestown fell to 1-3 after bowing to Kalamazoo 107-97 on Sunday.

Mafiaion Joyner led six players in double figures with 21 points as the Galaxy (1-3) claimed its first win of the young season.

Other top scores for the winners were Justin Moss and Michael Farmer with 16 points each; Arsenio Arrington and Orlando Little Jr both with 12 and Treylon Adams with 10. Moss also grabbed 12 rebounds and Little Jr. collected 11.

For the Jackals, Tafari Beckford led the way with 20 points, Magnus Richards had 14 and Calvin Cheek and Dante Law contributed 13 and 11 respectively.

Bowling

Tom Traub rolled a 277-685 and Tiffany Blum fired a 171-478 to set the pace in the Rusted Nutz Garage League at Valley Bowling Center.

Lou Campbell’s 227-612 led the way in the Brokenstraw Couples League at Valley Bowling Center.

Other scores were Austin Fitzgerald 248-593 and Pam Jameson 186-505.
