Warren loses first volleyball match

DuBOIS — Warren’s volleyball team lost its first regular-season match Monday 18-25, 14-25 and 22-25 at DuBois.

“DuBois is a really good senior-laden team, but I think we found out that we have to stay clean with our ball control in order to be effective attacking,” said Warren coach Mike Dolan. “Our defense definitely got tested tonight, and we showed we have some weak spots we need to work on.”

Kylie Fehlman had eight kills and two blocks in the middle; Alexia Bowers seven kills; Summer Lucks 17 digs; Lindsay Madigan 21 assists and eight digs; and Carly Beers five kills and two blocks.

“We definitely need to learn from this one and be better prepared, but … that’s why we want to play the good teams,” said Dolan.

Warren’s junior varsity team lost 9-25, 17-25 prior to the varsity match.
