To wrap up its first full week of competition, the Jamestown Community College men’s soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Gannon University on Friday afternoon.

The Jayhawks (1-1-1) had their fair share of opportunities, getting 11 shots on net. Defenseman George Glover (Leeds, England/Allerton Grange School) had the most looks at the net, getting off three shots. Forward Ethan Richardson (Llanharan, Wales/Bridgend College) and midfielder Jesse Plaatjes (Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa/Northwood) each had two shots on goal.

Freshman goalkeeper Paladi Lamani (Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa/Pretoria Boys HS) saw his first action in goal this season, making seven saves as he went the distance.

Jamestown CC will see its first true road test of the season as it travels to No. 4 Genesee CC on Wednesday.
