NORTH EAST — Warren’s Owen Blum tied for first with an 18-hole 75 Thursday at the inaugural Grape Picker Invitational at Lakeview Country Club.

Warren finished second out of 12 teams scoring. Teammate Braddock Damore shot a 78, just three off the leader, Owen Becker 89, Conner Zaffino 93 and Reid Olsen 103.

“The conditions were very tough at Lakeview,” said Warren coach Nate Sandberg. “Three of the kids have never played Lakeview, and they have never before seen greens this quick and a course this challenging. I am very proud of our second-place finish as well as Blum’s first-place finish. This shows what we are capable of doing, as well as what we need to improve upon.”
