A day after Warren’s Boys Minors were eliminated at Betts-Jackson Field, Kane scored twice in the final inning to eliminate Warren’s Boys Majors, 9-8, there on Wednesday.

Kane scored seven runs in the final two innings, ending with a bases-loaded single to win the Little League 11-12-year-old all-star elimination game.

Warren finishes 2-2 in the 11-team tournament, and Kane (2-1) advances to play Potter/McKean on Friday with four teams remaining. Both undefeated, St. Marys will play at Bradford in the winners’ bracket final to advance to the championship.

Warren jumped on Kane with four first-inning runs Wednesday. Tanner Stuart, Broc Bryan and Wesley Wilcox all doubled, and Wyatt Wilson tripled and scored on Heath Genis’ two-out single.

Warren jumped up 6-2 in the third, keyed by a single by Wilcox and RBI double by Aaron Shene.

In the top of the fourth, both Bryan and Wilcox were hit by pitches and scored on RBIs by Eddie Abplanalp and Genis for an 8-2 lead.

Nine Kane hits in the fifth and sixth innings equaled seven runs and the lead.

Wilcox finished 2-for-3 with three runs scored for Warren, and Genis added two hits in the loss.
