Four junior bowlers from Valley Bowling Center have advanced to the Pennsylvania state tournament in Limerick on May 14-15. Allyson Peate (U10 girls) of Youngsville placed first and qualified in the Pepsi Championship scratch division; and Casie Anderson, Konnnor Eck and Steven Rex, also of Youngsville, finished first, fourth and fifth respectively in the Youth Handicap singles. For their efforts, Peate won a $70 scholarship, Anderson a $105 scholarship and Eck a $58 scholarship. The foursome competed against other junior bowlers at the district level to earn a spot in the state tournament where they will compete for additional scholarship money.
