Lindell’s OT goal sends Warren Alumni past High School Team

Caleb Lindell buried the “golden goal” in the back of the net early in overtime to lift the Alumni Team to a 3-2 victory over the High School Team in a renewal of their annual soccer game at War Memorial Field on Friday.

Recent graduate Wesley Kiehl opened the scoring for the High School Team, but Quinn Boger countered with a goal for the Alumni to tie the game, 1-all.

In the second half, senior-to-be J.T. Blum put the High School Team in front, 2-1.

Kree Nomkram evened the score for the Alumni.

Both teams had chances at the end of the second half, but the score remained tied. In the extra time, Lindell tallied the game winner.
