Civil Air patrol holds training weekend

Last month, cadets from the Warren Composite Squadron NER-PA-505 put their emergency service skills to work during an intensive training exercise focusing on Ground Search and Rescue Operations.

Throughout that weekend, cadets participated in hands-on training designed to build and demonstrate mastery of Specialty Qualification Training Record skills during simulated mission scenarios. Training opportunities included selected task sign-offs for Ground Team Member Levels 2 and 3 as well as Ground Team Leader and Mission Staff Assistant.

Cadets trained in a variety of essential emergency service functions, including search techniques, navigation, mission communications, radio operations, teamwork, and field leadership. Additional communications operations training supported the ongoing ground team activities throughout the training exercise weekend.

Real-world experience was gained while strengthening their knowledge and capabilities in Emergency Services and Ground Team operations. Through teamwork, leadership and practical application, cadets gained confidence and advanced skills that continue to prepare them to support local, state and national missions when called upon.

It is a reflection of the continued commitment of the Warren Composite Squadron by developing highly trained cadets and senior members capable of serving their communities through the missions of the Civil Air Patrol.

Starting at $3.50/week.
