Ike’s Kellogg just misses state qualification

TITUSVILLE — Eisenhower’s Ethan Kellogg narrowly missed qualifying for the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Cross Country Championships on Saturday.

Kellogg took ninth place in the District 10 Class 1A race with a personal-best time of 17:29. Teammate Alex Hummel placed 11th in 17:39 while the Knights’ Tyson Morrison was 14th in 17:58.

Youngsville’s Julia Bojaczko led local girls with an 18th-place finish in a personal-best 21:26. Eisenhower’s Madison Cathcart finished 43rd, Youngsville’s Sarah Sabella was 63rd and Lillian Sabella was 65th.

Back in the boys race, Eisenhower’s Michael Crane was 65th and Phoenix Lindell was 70th.
