Open practice scheduled for Raceway 7 today

CONNEAUT, Ohio — The 2020 racing season will finally begin at Raceway 7 with an open practice for all dirt race cars today.

All five regular classes will be in attendance.

Classes for the 2020 season will include the Evergreen Lake Park Campground RUSH Late Models, which Darrell Bossard won last season; the Bonnell Collision Center E-Mods, which Mike Kinney won last year; Campbell Mini Storage Street Stocks, which Pat Fielding won last season; and the Sunnyside Farm Transit Mini Stocks, which Mark Lawrence won last year. The Bonnell Auto Sales Economods will also be in action. Their 2019 champion, Kyle Miller, passed away in April.

Racing will commence June 19 with regular racing over the five divisions. Regular racing will be on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. as usual.

Raceway 7 is located 6 miles south of Interstate 90 on Route 7 in the town of Monroe Center, Ohio and races every Friday night May through September, weather-permitting. Pit gates will open at 5 p.m. with practice sessions starting promptly at 6:30 p.m.

General grandstand admission for this event is free with pit admission $25 for all ages with minimum age 18. Children under 18 are admitted to pit area with a “Minor Release” form available at pit gate that must be filled out by a parent accompanying the youth. No pets are admitted to the track. Fan and pit gates open at 5:30 p.m. Race day information is available at 440-594-2222. The track maintains a website at www.raceway7.com.
