KANE 64, SHEFFIELD 15
KANE, Pa. – Ella Marconi, who early this season became Kane’s all-time leading scorer, poured in 19 points to lead the Lady Wolves to a 64-15 win over visiting Sheffield on Friday.
Annabel Sheldon had nine points to pace Sheffield.
“We didn’t match intensity from the start,” said Sheffield coach Brandon Troutman. “We played too hesitant to be successful against a team of that caliber. I challenged the kids to buckle down defensively in second half and our help side defense was improved.
“Offensively, we aren’t attacking the rim, and when we attack we aren’t using full vision of the court and turn the ball over quite a bit when help defense slides in.”
Sheffield returns to action Monday at Elk County Catholic.
