Just days after delivering a check for $10,000 to Hospice of Warren County, board members of the 12th Annual Leek Party in Memory of LeRoy Van Tassel went a bit further down the street to make another donation. A $10,000 check was given to Warren General Hospital and the Cancer Care Center. According to hospital officials, the donations funded the purchase of three new wheelchairs to assist with patient mobility throughout the facility, radiation skin care products designed to provide relief and comfort to cancer patients, and gift cards, and gift cards for patients and families facing financial and travel challenges during medical treatments. This year’s volunteers include: Kelly VanTassell, Anita and Joel McKown, Codie and Dan Morse, Billie and Pat Jameson, Shyanna and Josh Cassatt, Rydar Durlin, Emma Jameson, Jordan Pilling, Jim and Cathy Barrett, Kim Edmiston, Bobbi Engstrom, Mike and Paula Melquist, Matt and Colton Haynes, Brittanny Gesin, Heather and Randy Tomaschefski, Jennifer Wilcox, and Tyler Groves.
