Myron Arthur Pfeifer

Myron Arthur Pfeifer, 66, 103 Elm St., Warren, Pa., died at St. Vincent’s Hospital, on Saturday, May 22, 2021, following a brief illness.

Myron was born in Fond du Lac, Wis., on Nov. 13, 1954, the son of the late Myron H. and Ruth (Averbeck) Pfeifer. A Warren resident since 1969, he attended Beaty Junior High, Warren Area High School, and graduated from Houghton Academy, Houghton, N.Y., class of 1973.

He learned trade skills and heavy equipment operation as he grew up working in his father’s business in Fond du Lac. In Warren, he operated Pfeifer Enterprises from 1979 until 2005, as owner and general contractor, doing home construction, additions, remodeling, repair and disaster restoration, and facility maintenance. He was head of maintenance for Warren Nursing Home during the 1980s. Following retirement, he worked for Burke Tree Service.

He is survived by his sister, Grace (Pfeifer) Zerbe Wright; his loving companion of eight years, Becky Hicks; his adopted grand-son, Isaiah, who was “paw-paw’s” little buddy; and by numerous cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother; and a brother-in-law, Ronald C. Zerbe.

He was captain of the dart team for a number of years. He enjoyed cooking and grilling, relaxing out-side with friends, and in earlier years, experimenting with gourmet foods.

He will be remembered for his smile, ready laughter, and willingness to help others. House of Hope of Warren County expresses gratitude to him for many hours of donated work in maintenance and repair. He will be loved and greatly missed, and never forgotten.

Friends will be received at the Cable Hollow Community Church, 3157 Cable Hollow Road, Russell, Pa.,, on Saturday, May 29, 2021, from 11a.m. until noon, at which time a memorial service will be held, the Rev. Allan Jones, pastor, officiating.
