Falconer St. man charged faces assault charges
A Falconer Street man remains behind bars on charges stemming from an alleged assault earlier this month that left him with bruised knuckles and the victim with a fractured orbital bone.
Nolan Nudd, 22, 106 Falconer St., Warren, was charged on Dec. 8 by City of Warren police in connection with the incident that occurred at his residence on Dec. 8 shortly before 9 p.m.
City police say in the affidavit of probable cause that they were dispatched to the area of Falconer Street and Allegheny Avenue for an “active physical altercation between two males.”
Police arrived at the scene and allege that they found Nudd standing in front of 108 Falconer St. and told police that he was fixing his car and had not been involved in an altercation.
Police allege, though, that Nudd “was bleeding from his right hand and had bruising to his knuckle which is consistent with a physical altercation.”
The 911 Center told police that the other individual involved was being transported to Warren General Hospital for injuries sustained in the altercation. Police subsequently learned that advanced treatment was required.
Police spoke to the victim who alleged “that he had been attacked by (Nudd) and was struck several times in the face and body,” further telling police that “he felt he might lose consciousness and fell to the ground” where Nudd allegedly continued to strike him.
Police say in the affidavit that the victim sustained a right orbital bone fracture in addition to “significant soft tissue damage to his right eye.”
Nudd waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Wednesday on charges including aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness, online court records show.
He remains in the Warren County Jail on $50,000 bail.
