To help make sure the parade route is properly decorated, the offices of State Rep. Kathy Rapp (R-65) and State Sen. Scott Hutchinson (R-21) donated 50 American flags to the Warren County 4th of July Organization.

Those flags supplement those already hanging in the city.

The organization provides the flags that are hung along city streets between Memorial Day and Labor Day each year, according to Treasurer Kelly Thompson. The donation from the legislators ensures that the parade route is set up with the flags it needs.

“The two offices have donated a total of 50 flags to line the Avenue,” Thompson said. “The City of Warren provides brackets and the manpower to hang the flags.”

In addition to thanking Rapp and Hutchinson, Thompson expressed her thanks to Tina Huey from House of Printing for her efforts in securing the donations.
