Behind them, on them, under them…

Students in the Warren County Career Center Building Construction Occupation classes have been creating the set, the orchestra pit, and wings for the stage.

The students were all over the Warren Area High School stage this week.

“We’re repurposing a lot of the material from Newsies (the 2019 All-County Musical) and other shows,” Teacher Greg Waterman said.

The set is not an elaborate one, compared to Newsies, which had cast members at multiple heights for the length of the stage, but the space for the orchestra and for the 50-plus children in the children’s choir create additional construction challenges.

The team is working through the challenges as they arise.

“You have a vision, but the vision changes several times before you get what you want,” Waterman said.

The show — Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat — will be on the Warren Area High School stage at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 31, and Friday, April 1, and at 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 2.

Tickets are available at the door two hours before each performance. Sales are cash-only and tickets are $15 for adults, and $12 for students and seniors.

Starting at $4.00/week.
