Three sentenced to jail time
A Warren man has been sentenced to at least 3.75 years of confinement after pleading guilty in April to a harassment charge.
Ralph T. Munt, 58, had been charged with simple assault and harassment. The simple assault charge was not prosecuted, with Munt instead pleading guilty to harassment. He was sentenced Friday by President Judge Gregory Hammond in the Court of Common Pleas to 45 to 90 months of confinement.
Hammond also sentenced Brandon M. Kramrich, 44, of Warren to at least five months and no more than 1 year, 11 months of confinement to satisfy a guilty plea in April to a charge of simple assault. A harassment charge was not prosecuted.
Amber L. Conrad, 41, of Jamestown, N.Y., was sentenced to between 68 days and one year of confinement after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of retail theft – taking merchandise. A third-degree felony charge of receiving stolen property was not prosecuted.
Other sentences handed down by Hammond on Friday include:
Jameson S. Shepherd, 45, of Warren was sentenced to one year of probation after pleading guilty in April to simple assault. Two counts of second-degree felony aggravated assault and two charges of simple assault were not prosecuted.
A bench warrant was issued for Jeffrey L. Buvoltz, 48, of Lebanon, Pa., after Buvoltz did not appear for his scheduled sentencing court date. Buvoltz had been charged with four counts of second-degree felony forgery, one count of second-degree felony receiving stolen property and a third-degree felony charge of theft by deception. He pleaded guilty to theft by deception in April with the other charges not prosecuted.
Chad D. Nudd, 55, of Sheffield was charged with possession/sale/use of display documents, marijuana – small amount personal use, use/possession of drug paraphernalia and three traffic citations July 29 by Conewango Township police officers after a traffic stop July 27 in Conewango Township. He pleaded guilty to two traffic citations and was sentenced to pay a $300 fine.
Kendra J. Lockwood, 46, of Clarendon was sentenced to five years probation, to pay a $1,500 fine and court costs, attendance in an Alcohol Highway Safety School, attendance of a Victim’s Impact Panel after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI: controlled substance – metabolite – second offense and a traffic citation.
A bench warrant was issued for Jason J. Elliott, who pleaded guilty in April to one count of DUI: general impairment of driving safely – second offense and a traffic violation. Elliott did not appear in court on Friday.
Hammond granted a motion June 3 for Courtney R. Gurdak of Corry to withdraw a previous guilty plea to a charge of DUI: general impairment/incapable of driving safely – first offense.
Catherine Confer, 65, of Ludlow was sentenced to six months of probation after pleading guilty to neglect of animals – vet care. A charge of cruelty to animals was not prosecuted.
